DSC 0230 - Seaport Security Officer

Students will learn about the Seaport environment and maritime domain; understand the rules and regulations in seaport security, identify terrorism and weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and threats targeted at critical infrastructures and facilities. Students will learn to detect suspicious activities, and will demonstrate communication, reporting and documentation procedures. Live lab activities include screening of cargo and people, vehicle inspection, crowd control, cargo and container security, conflict and crisis management, and port shutdown and recovery exercises.
